- Electrohydrodynamic and aerodynamic fiber-forming techniques (electrospinning, solution blowing, supersonic nanoblowing, electrospraying, and inkjet printing)
- Multiscale metal-plated fibers (transparent conducting film, transparent heater, multi-functional sensor, electrostatic air filter, cooling materials, and endovascular coiling)
- Fiber-based triboelectric and piezoelectric energy harvesters
- Secondary batteries (anode materials of Li-ion battery and flexible thin electrodes of supercapacitor)
- Extrinsic self-healing materials (core-shell-structured vascular self-healing fibers)
- Bioinspired and environmentally friendly materials (thorny devil nanofibers, biopolymer nanofibers, soft actuator for artificial muscle, etc.)
- Viscoelastic polymeric materials (mechanical, rheological, and hyperelastic behaviors of polymer fibers)
- Heat transfer applications (air cooling layer/film, pool boiling, and heat-pipe)
- Photocatalysis applications (water purification, water splitting, and anti-microbial films)
- Membranes (water/oil separation, water purification, and anti-fungal membranes)
